Reviews

“Our stay at this gorgeous home was fantastic! Every room is comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen is furnished with every pot, pan, utensil you can imagine which made meal preparation for our large family quite easy. The views of Mount Sopris are breathtaking. What a great place to stay, rest, and relax!”

“Absolutely amazing. Everything we dreamed of for a mountain getaway over New Years. Perfect for quality time with family and friends unlike a hotel. But the house is so big that everyone still had their space if we wanted to nap or have personal time. Did feel like a hotel in that every room feels like a suit with its own huge bathroom. The architecture and design of the house is stunning too with a breathtaking view of the mountains. (Any pics you’ve seen won’t do the view justice.) Will definitely stay here again. We skied Snowmass and Sunlight nearby. Only complaint we had from the family members staying in the Master and the Two Bedroom was that the mattresses were very hard. Other than that, the house has everything you need! Thank you!”

“The home, itself, is a striking work of art. From the elegantly industrial joists securing the beams to the ceiling to the medallion tile inserts in the master bath flooring, every single element of design in this home conveys the perfect balance between modern luxury and bucolic elegance. Yes, the high-end kitchen is a foodie and/or chef’s dream. Yes, the steam shower in the master bath is divine. Yes, finishes in every bathroom are magazine-worthy. But this magnificent home pales in comparison to the jaw-dropping view that screams, peacefully, from virtually every window. I’ve been to Colorado many times: Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper… never before have I ever seen such a view. Mountain range after mountain range, it, quite literally, goes on forever. And what makes it even more unbelievable is that the view is all yours. It lends the impression that no other human life stands, sits, even exists between you and the majesty of those distant mountains. The setting was inspiring, as we needed it to be. Thanks for a most memorable stay. We will return!”

“Stunning doesn’t begin to describe this place. My wife booked this house and I never even saw a picture prior to arriving. On top of that we arrived at night in the pitch dark. But when I woke up in the morning the view was like nothing I have ever seen!!! I opened the window and saw nothing but snow covered hills, roaming deer, and a huge mountain. Nothing like my view in Florida! I was also hugely impressed with the finishes of this house. My work is in construction and high-end interiors, and this place was top notch. I was hugely impressed by the great woodwork throughout the house. And the beds and linens were just amazing! Overall this was the perfect vacation lodge. I went with a group of friends and we hit the awesome mountains at Snowmass and Aspen every day. This was my first time on these mountains and only skied Vail in the past; Much better here because the crowds are significantly smaller and there were no waits at the chair lifts. The local town is charming and convenient. One night we went to a delicious Thai restaurant called Phat Thai that I highly recommend, but most nights we cooked dinner in the spectacular kitchen, thanks to the nearby Whole Foods. And hot tub in the snow while staring at a perfectly clear starry night is an experience I will never forget! Highly recommended for a ski vacation with friends!”

“What a great place to stay. Chefs kitchen, steam showers, and room for all your friends and family. I can’t say enough good things about this property. As someone who uses VRBO often this house was fully stocked with everything you could need. I wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks!”

“We had an awesome stay at the house in Carbondale. The view was breathtaking, with tons of deer right outside our window! The house was very well-maintained and equipped – it came with every imaginable kitchen tool / appliance and had everything from a pool table to a full media center and even workout resistance bands. We just loved the cozy fireplace and the heated footrest at the kitchen table! Even though the house has great central heating, the owners provided tons of blankets and even a space heater to keep you warm. There are several shopping centers at the base of the mountain, about a 7-10 minute drive away, including a Whole Foods. It was really nice to have access to this, especially when the weather was bad and we didn’t feel like driving to Aspen. We would highly recommend renting an SUV if traveling during the winter months. Thank you for a great stay! We’ll definitely be back!”

“This house is simply fantastic. We spent 9 days here and took advantage of its proximity to the snowmass/aspen ski slopes. Nothing is better than coming home after a long day of skiing and relaxing around the beautiful fireplace or soaking in the outdoor hottub. The kitchen is top notch and fully stocked with everything we needed to make huge breakfasts and dinners which we enjoyed eating together in the beautiful dining room. Once bed time rolled around I was so excited to get into these comfy beds. Looking forward to definitely coming back for all the summer fun to be had around carbondale. Did I mention the town of carbondale is surprisingly cute with excellent restaurants? Try phat thai! No need to spend all your time in Aspen. The local scene is great too! I highly reccomend this home for your next vacation.”

“Wind River feels like a castle. And staying there made me feel like a king. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly and I can’t wait to go back. Myself, my wife and a few friends stayed at this place in late February 2015. Everything was super, super clean and even though it reached 0 degrees outside, it remained warm and cozy in the house. In terms of appliances and other small comforts, the house literally has everything you’d need – they even have grappa glasses… that is just one example of how deeply the owners have thought about making your stay comfortable and easy. The water and water pressure are really, really good (hot water in 1 second and showers that make you feel like you’re an Amazonian in the middle of the rainy season) and the beds / bedrooms have enough room to fit the entire cast from ’19 Kids and Counting’. I don’t really know what else you could want in a vacation home. Bring your friends, unpack your underwear, and forget about work troubles. Stay and pretend you’re the King / Queen of this castle and have an amazing time looking at deer out the window, skiing Buttermilk, Snowmass, or Aspen, or hiking / biking / fishing. What on earth are you waiting for?”

“This house is spectacular! I came with a group of friends for a long ski weekend and we all thoroughly enjoyed the house. Everything is brand new and in mint condition. The kitchen has completely new appliances – probably my very favorite room in the house. After a long day of skiing, I slept like a baby in my extremely comfortable bed. Everything in the house is first class and incredibly relaxing with beautiful mountain views complete with a fireplace. There is tons of space and it’s perfect for groups, friends, and families. The house is in a great location – about five minutes from a Whole Foods, 35 minute drive to Aspen, and 25 minute drive to Snowmass. I would come to this home again and again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!”
