Roaring Fork School District governs public schools in most of the area, from Basalt near the southern end of the valley to Glenwood Springs at the northern end. Students within the District have some flexibility in terms of which public schools they attend rather than being limited by strict geographical boundaries, but check with the school district office to verify which schools are available to you.
