“This home is truly beautiful and well-kept. We had a full house, and were very comfortable for the weekend. We were very impressed by how well stocked the kitchen and rooms were, though I’d strongly recommend more towels for such a large house. We met one neighbor who was very kind and friendly, and the neighborhood itself was calm and quiet. It was pretty clean, though a couple of their towels smelled a teeny bit mildewy, like they hadn’t been dried fast enough or well enough. Agree with the info about the deck chairs, some of them were so worn they were flaking, but there were plenty of chairs outside, so it wasn’t a huge deal. There was a lack of dry firewood and kindling, which was a bummer, as we weren’t able to get a fire going while we were there. There also seems to be a wasp nest or two on the back deck, so you might want to look into that. There is some noise from the highway, so be aware of that”

“The location was perfect in a quiet neighborhood with easy access and we met several of the neighbors who were very friendly and helpful. The home was clean, well furnished and matched the representation presented in VBRO. Linens and bathrooms were clean and the entire house was made available including the garage, which we did not use because the weather was perfect. The only issue was the outdoor kitchen area was not clean and some of the chairs have rotted from weather but there were plenty of other chairs. The outdoor cooking area was very hand for a small gathering we had just to sit and talk. Several deer noticed during our walks in the neighborhood. The recent additions/renovations especially to the interior were very nice and was the focal point for our family gathering. Would consider renting this location in the future”

“I am always a little apprehensive renting a home just from photos. Trust me, the photos did not do it justice as this home is truly spectacular. We wanted a home that would accommodate my husband and I along with our two adult “kids” and their combined 3 children and it did not disappoint. Each bedroom was large and extremely comfortable. Having wi-fi was important for the “workers” to connect with their jobs back home and their is a quiet office room to work in. I love to cook and this was a dream kitchen for all of us. We sat outside on the deck when the weather was nice and took in the fabulous mountain views along with the cool evening air. Inside the table was huge and we could all sit around it or just be casual and sit around the granite island. The area is so convenient for day hikes, swimming, biking, rafting and horseback riding. I cannot say enough about Stacey. There was a water main break the day we arrived and she kept me updated all evening….And when we arrived, the water was on!!! I would highly recommend this house. We also met the owners who were visiting the next door neighbors. BTW, all such lovely and friendly people. Thank you Martin for this past week.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Roaring River home. The owners have taken immaculate care of the home, and it is is very well stocked with anything and everything that you might need. We always take pride in how we keep the places we rent, and it hope everyone else will do the same. The house is in fabulous condition, and even all of the shower doors are spot free (yes, we did use the squeegee after each use) and we were very impressed. Stacey with Happy Real Estate in Basalt was a dream to work with, and we had the pleasure of meeting her. We cannot wait to go back for a summer stay!”
